the path to God.

a sufi needs sufis
for the journey towards the unseen
just like a warrior needs warriors
to defeat and conquer
else he is alone, lost
and no one to share his vision with.

the reality of divine is such that,
one alone might not return to this world
once having seen what's beyond it.
fighting for His cause which happens
after you return, is such that,
once you take a step,
others taking the same step
meet you along the way.
those who went beyond
and returned safely- anew.

the matters of God, are such that
they are not for a person alone.
where abu bakr siddique would've gone
if not to the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
amir khusrou was troubled until nizamuddin
rumi there, and shams somewhere else
until they united and millions
millions, were illuminated through their light
to the divine opening.

you will always find people, as troubled as you
seekers, as hungry as you
in love as madly as you
soldiers as sincere as you.
the path to God is one
what transports you to Him can be different.

hold your breath and know
on this path, you will never be alone
if not humans, angels will be your companions
if not, the Lord of heavens and the earth
is your companion.
the question is, does it attract you?
do you recognize the longing within you?
the yearning for what doesn't belong to this world alone.
